Chillicothe, Ohio

Over a thousand people gathered at Chillicothe Intermediate School to celebrate its completion and a milestone for the Chillicothe community.  Construction for the 121,495 SF school began in the summer of 2017, and the building was completed and ready for students to resume classes after winter break for the 2018-2019 school year.

The building is a peek into a 21st century collaborative and independent learning environment, with purpose-built elements in classrooms and extended learning areas.  Designed for practicality and with different learning styles in mind, the school is painted with vibrant colors and equipped with unique furniture, flexible seating options and study spots.

Also notable is the local history and homage paid to the city of Chillicothe, like the rotunda ceiling resembling the official State Seal of Ohio, and the image of Ohio beneath the rotunda representing Chillicothe as Ohio's first state capital in 1803.  While walking the halls, students will get to enjoy bits and pieces of Ohio history with facts about people and events from the past.

We are honored to have helped make these remarkable strides forward for the Chillicothe community as Construction Manager for both the Primary and Intermediate schools.  We are certain the innovative design in both new schools will change the way we view education and will foster creativity and inspiration for students for years to come.
