As a part of Lancaster City Schools’ ongoing Facility Improvement Program, the District is replacing the existing Tallmadge Elementary School with a new, state of the art educational facility. Due to the need to construct the new building on the existing site, this project will require the simultaneous abatement and demolition of the existing building with the construction of the new facility. This project is also being constructed in the midst of a residential area, requiring detailed coordination, logistical and safety planning to mitigate any potential impact on the surrounding areas.
