Louis Ciraldo - President
Lou is a 1976 graduate of The
University of Akron with a degree in Civil Engineering. Lou served with
the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers in Europe where he was a platoon leader
and design engineer in a heavy construction battalion. After his tour of
duty, Lou was employed with different sun belt and local contractors and
in 1992, founded Summit Construction. Under his tenure, Summit
Construction has completed many public and private projects;
Akron-Summit County Public Library Branches, AA Baseball Stadium in
Akron, Ohio, schools, churches, retail, and multi-family office
complexes. Lou is a registered Professional Engineer in Ohio and North
Carolina. Lou is very active in the community serving as a part-time
University of Akron professor, teaching Construction Management, and
currently serves on committees with a focus on education and work force
development. He and his wife, Connie are blessed with four children,
three sons and one daughter.
Brenda Daily - Construction Manager
Brenda has earned a Bachelors of Science in
Construction Engineering from the University of Akron. With 12 years in
the construction industry, Brenda has served in the capacity of office
engineer, project engineer, superintendent, project manager and now
construction manager.
This experience allows Brenda to discuss and solve problems in the field
as well as act as the management representative for owners and
developers. Brenda has completed projects as construction manager for
the owner and as hard-bid general contractor. Construction management
projects include Canal Park Stadium (377 day completion), Akron Summit
County Public Library Branches (6 new 12,000 sf libraries simultaneously
– 56 prime contracts managed). As general contractor or CM/GC, Brenda
completed school projects, waste water treatment plant renovations,
retail stores, office buildings and high end sports and fitness centers.
John W. Griffiths, Construction Manager
John has over 20 years experience in the construction
industry from small residential to major commercial work.
John is in charge of field operations including overseeing field
superintendents and all hourly personnel. He plays many roles from
running an individual job to estimating to project management depending
on the company needs.
Steve L. Nagy - Treasurer/Controller
Steve is a graduate of Ohio University with a
major in Civil Engineering and has over 21 years of construction
experience. Steve joined Summit Construction in 1994 as a Project
Manager/Superintendent and has worked his way to become the company’s
Treasurer/Controller. Having worked with a number of Cleveland and Akron
construction firms prior to Summit, Steve has experienced many aspects
of construction from estimating and field experience to upper
management. His travels have offered him the experience of doing
construction projects in over 10 states.
