Fairlawn, Ohio

Lou Ciraldo, Founder of Summit Construction, received the prestigious Outstanding Volunteer Fundraising Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals Northeast Ohio Chapter on November 9th. The award ceremony took place in Fairlawn with his family in attendance to show their support. Ciraldo is joined by Dr. Cliff Deveny, President and CEO Summa Health, and Jessica Hudson, President of the Summa Foundation and Chief Development Officer. 

Nominated by the incredible team at Summa Health, Lou's dedication to making a positive impact knows no bounds. Dr. Deveny said, "He tends not to want to bring attention to himself, but he always is more about how the community can be better."

Ciraldo ended the night with warm remarks when he stated, "In closing, I'd like the opportunity to comment about this humbling experience today. I think when you look at volunteerism, don't worry about being rewarded for an event. That's why when I first was asked [to do] this event, I didn't think it was proper. But then the more I thought about it, it gives me a chance for a platform to hopefully inspire others to move and to be helpful in our community, which needs help no matter where we are in the world."
