Dion Canfield serves as the Director of Safety for Summit Construction Company. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from The Ohio State University and brings 19 years of experience in facilities management, risk management, and construction safety leadership.
Prior to joining Summit, Dion spent 17 years leading facilities operations in the corporate retail sector before transitioning into the construction industry, where he has focused on safety leadership, regulatory compliance, workforce training, and incident prevention.
Holding OSHA 30 and OSHA 510 certifications, Dion works closely with project teams and trade partners to promote a proactive safety culture across Summit's projects throughout Ohio. His passion for mentorship, employee engagement, and continuous improvement helps support Summit's commitment to delivering projects safely and successfully.
Outside of work, Dion enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending sporting events, traveling, and serving his community.
