In 2024, Summit Construction was awarded as CMR for the Akron Children's Hospital behavioral health interior buildout. Located in the Kay Jewelers Pavilion, the project consists of a 47,000 SF interior buildout of the entire 5th floor, and a 4,800 SF courtyard renovation. In partnership with Cannon Design, this behavioral health space for Akron Children's Hospital will serve patients through a range of specialized therapy and treatment amenities.
The interior includes open common areas, sensory rooms, art and gross-motor therapy spaces, classrooms, and private patient rooms with full bathrooms. The outdoor courtyard will feature rubber playground tile, turf, and benches to support therapeutic outdoor activities.
