Buckeye Valley Middle School Addition Groundbreaking

Delaware, Ohio

On May 13th, Buckeye Valley Local Schools officially celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Middle School Addition. Members of the Board of Directors gathered alongside district leadership, project partners, and future students who will one day learn in the new facility.

The planned 40,000 square-foot, two-story addition will expand the middle school's capacity with 16 new classrooms, flexible learning spaces, and a new competition-sized gym. The project is designed to relieve overcrowding, support continued district growth, and create modern learning environments where students can thrive. Planned site improvements also include a redesigned bus loop to enhance daily traffic flow and student safety.

Construction is now underway, with the addition scheduled to open for students in the 2027-28 school year. Summit Construction is proudly serving as CMR for the project alongside Schorr Architects to bring the vision to life.
