Canal Winchester, Ohio
On Thursday, May 14th, Canal Winchester Local Schools held a groundbreaking ceremony to officially kick off their multi-phase Facilities Project.
The project includes the addition of a new 700+ seat Performing Arts Center at Canal Winchester High School, featuring a black box classroom, fly space, orchestra pit, and storage to support expanded arts programming. At Mike Locke Stadium, a new Field House will provide indoor turf, locker rooms, offices, training and meeting spaces, along with a viewing patio overlooking the district's Weiser Field. The project also included a new softball and baseball complex with turf fields, dugouts, batting cages, and a press box, designed to elevate athletic opportunities for student-athletes.
Additional improvements across the campus will further support safety, accessibility, and day-to-day functionality, including renovations to the existing field house, and adding more parking to the high school site to improve traffic flow.
Summit Construction is proud to serve as construction manager at-risk alongside Schorr Architects on this exciting facilities program, which will transform the campus through enhanced athletic venues, a state-of-the-art field house, and inspiring new spaces for creativity and learning.
