Strongsville, OH |
SCC teamed up with Habitat for Humanity and Strongsville United Methodist Church to take part in the Help Build Hope program from CrossRoads Missions.
With the joint efforts of these organizations, a group of three SCC team members—Carlin Culbertson, Chris Ciraldo, and Josh Fisher—all volunteered to help. They joined forces with a hundred other community members to build the framework of a new house for a family in need.

CrossRoads Missions works with local affordable housing partners and brings volunteering opportunities to the community in accessible locations. CrossRoads provides equipment and expertise to help rally a community and accomplish their mission: affordable housing.
Through cross-organizational cooperation and the dedication of volunteers, the frame will be the start of ten new Habitat for Humanity homes on the east side of Cleveland.
The family that will be receiving the house worked alongside the volunteers, helping build their new home and meet the community members committed to the cause.
“[This was a] great project for a great cause, and I'm glad we got to use some of our construction know-how to help others and give back to the communities we work in,” said Carlin Culbertson, Director of Finance at SCC.

Thank you to the Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity, Strongsville United Methodist Church, and CrossRoads Missions for including SCC in the Help Build Hope program and for working each day to help better our shared community.
