SCC groundbreaking

Lancaster, Ohio

On Oct. 27, Lancaster City Schools and the surrounding community celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Lancaster High School.

Jason Winkler, President; Jasen Conner, Vice President; Andy Rogers, Executive Director; David Gillespie, Project Manager and Lancaster resident; and Matt Rogers, Site Superintendent, represented Summit Construction Company as the Construction Manager at Risk.

SCC was selected to provide CMR services alongside Schorr Architects for the 370,000 SF facility, located on Granville Pike in Lancaster. The building will house all students in grades 9-12 on one campus. This will be the fifth school building Summit has completed for the district, and the final project in their master facilities plan.

The majority of the Lancaster High School early site work has been completed, with the area being prepared for the building pad. This process should be completed in mid-November.

SCC is thrilled to continue partnering with Lancaster City Schools as they build a new and beautiful educational facility with a capacity of nearly 2,000 students.
