March was packed with value for SCC's safety program. To start off this year's program, Summit safety leaders, Tim Baden, Safety Director, and Collin White, Safety Manager, attended the OSC24 Conference in Columbus. The three-day event, held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, featured 300 exhibiting companies and 200 speakers. Individuals from various industries shared stories and presented the latest information on fostering a strong safety culture in business today.

"We had an exciting time getting energized about safety! We had the pleasure of listening to two great keynote speakers: Brent Cup and Eduardo Garcia. We attended a plethora of classes over the three days that highlighted the importance of effective communication and building a strong safety culture. We spent a lot of time networking and learning about new technologies in the world of safety," said Collin White.

The conversation continued in-house at Summit's Akron and Columbus offices with our March Lunch & Learn, renewing our CPR and First Aid Training.

The training, led by Chris Alexander, garnered an impressive attendance and a 100% individual completion of a 48-lesson course.

"Our team continues to prove their commitment to our zero-tolerance safety policy. Attendance for the CPR training was 100% and shows Summit's pledge to safety and expresses our innate responsibility to that commitment," shared Tim Baden with our team.

When it comes to safety, being prepared for life-threatening emergencies, preventing injuries, and understanding how to act efficiently is paramount.

By investing in our leaders' growth and fostering a culture of continuous improvement through our employee development program, we strengthen our safety culture every day. This dedication to a safe environment is what allows us to deliver projects successfully and ensures all people on or near our job-sites return home at the end of each day to their loved ones.
