This summer, our team began an exciting new project with Summit Artspace.
Located in downtown Akron, Summit Artspace is a vibrant hub for creativity, housing artist studios, creative businesses, and five galleries that present new exhibitions four times a year. The organization offers public programs that connect the community with local artists and strengthen a diverse and thriving arts and culture scene.
According to Akron.com, “Officials stated the renovations will make Summit Artspace better equipped and more accessible to serve its 30 resident artists, 400 exhibiting artists, and 9,000 annual visitors.”
Summit is providing construction management for the 15,000 sq ft renovation, which focuses on multiple areas throughout the building, including updating gallery spaces, the storefront, and event space.
The project also includes essential behind-the-scenes updates - such as HVAC work and other improvements that will enhance comfort for both resident artists and visitors.
