On Sunday, September 17th, our team attended Akron Children's Hospital's annual Walk for Babies. Summit Construction was proud to provide sponsorship for the event that brings families and their stories together to raise money and awareness for the ACH NICU.
This year's walked was hosted by the Akron Zoo, beginning bright and early at 8 a.m. Families walked through the zoo, and were welcomed by many entertaining animals. The walk concluded with Zoo rides, face painting, crafts for kids, a live DJ and more.
Nate Booth, Director of Construction, has been working with Akron Children's for years, leading several of Summit's healthcare projects. Nate and his family walked for his son Camden, who spent 10 days in the ACH NICU where he received excellent care during such a frightening time.
Summit Construction is proud to continue supporting organizations in our community through our Summit Gives Back program. We thank the Akron Zoo for hosting this year's walk and to Akron Children's and their phenomenal NICU staff saving lives each day.
