Summit Construction Company provided construction management services for the new two-story 42,000 sf Akron Children’s Hospital Medical Health Center in Boston Heights.
The new facility offers services for urgent care and specialized medical treatments including but not limited to radiology, rehabilitation, ophthalmology, behavioral health, cardiology, urology, dermatology, orthology, pulmonary medicine, rheumatology, and gastroenterology.
SCC served as the Construction Manager for Testa Development to complete the shell of the building which included sitework, foundations, steel structure, veneer, roofing, elevator, and landscaping.
SCC completed the interior build-out for Akron Children’s Hospital which included interior metal stud framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, plumbing, electrical, sprinkler, and hvac scopes, specialty finishes, and paint.
The construction of the Boston Heights Health Center allowed for Akron Children’s to consolidate multiple locations into one convenient medical location to service its surrounding communities. The location is easily accessible to the public and highly visible from the adjacent highway, Ohio State Route 8.
