Summit Construction was the general contractor to assist in the renovation of existing space in the walkway between the Akron Children’s Hospital main building and the new Kay Jewelers Pavilion. A giant 10’ x 15’ mosaic mural was created to commemorate the hospital’s 125th anniversary. Nearly 10,000 patients, families, employees and community members helped to create the giant mosaic mural by providing an individual tile piece to supplement the work as a whole.
The SCC Team provided carpentry, painting, and electrical to allow for the installation of the mural and an interactive station that allows visitors to locate their exact mosaic tile on the piece of art.
