Formerly known the National Inventors Hall of Fame, the NIHF Community Learning Center will serve as Akron Public School’s Center for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.  It is a renovation of the existing space as well as a 6-story addition.  The structure is a structural steel framed building with large curtain wall windows and metal panel finishes.  The building consists of multiple classrooms that have labs, as well as typical administrative offices, art rooms, media center, gymnasium and stage areas.  It will be the first Akron Public School that will be a L.E.E.D building.

Summit Construction conducted as the prime contractor who self-performed project management, demolition, miscellaneous carpentry and painting.
