Copley, Ohio

Copley-Fairlawn City Schools is undergoing district improvements to accommodate its growing student population and create a more consistent aesthetic across its facilities.

Summit Construction was contracted to provide construction management for the projects following the stadium renovation and field house project in 2024, and the most recently completed storage building on the high school campus.

Band Room Addition

The district is planning to create a dedicated band room west of the band's current space. Superintendent Aimee Kirsch said, "the new space is necessary because the middle school band program has grown significantly. She said the current room the band uses is outdated and can no longer safely or comfortably accommodate the increasing number of students and their equipment."

Construction is expected to begin this November, with completion planned in time for the 2027-2028 school year.

Natatorium and Main Gym Entrance Renovations

At Copley High School, the natatorium and main gym will undergo updates to replicate the design of the high school's main entrance. Kirsch said, "the project will create a more visible, welcoming and functional entry for spectators attending athletic events and community activities."
